About massage therapy

Massage is both therapeutic and relaxing. It can help to relieve aches and pains, and maintain a healthy mind and body. I provide you with the type of massage that suits your needs, specialising in:

• Deep tissue massage, Stress and relaxation massage (half an hour – $45, 1 hour – $85, 90 minutes – $130)

• Aromatherapy massage
• Corporate massage (seat chair)

I also offer infant massage.

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Unlike massage therapy, deep tissue massage usually focuses on a specific problem, such as:

•    chronic pain
•    limited mobility
•    recovery from injuries, such as whiplash, a fall, or a sports injury
•    repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome
•    postural problems
•    osteoarthritis pain
•    fibromyalgia (muscle and connective tissue pain)
•    muscle tension or spasm

Dorn therapy helps with Sciatic pain.

Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but the pressure is firmer and more focused.

Aromatherapy massage

Aromatherapy massage is massage therapy using essential oils. Essential oils are derived from plants. These oils help to lift your mood and alleviate pain. An individual blend is made for you on each visit – the essential oils chosen are specific to your requirements on that day. The essential oils work to enhance the massage and continue to work when you leave. My intention is to enhance your physical and emotional well-being in a nurturing and professional environment.

Bioptron light treatment

Bioptron light therapy supplies natural electro-magnetic energy to the skin, just like the sun does. As a concentrated beam of light, however, it is much faster and more efficient than the sun. The light can be used safely in most situations, and helps in pain relief and in the healing of the body. The length of treatment varies, depending on what is being treated. Bioptron light therapy can be used to reduce skin problems and aid healing.

Infant massage

Learn how to massage your baby. Infant massage classes are great for mums and dads, grandparents, and caregivers. Massaging your child increases the bond between the two of you and improves the health of your child. Four sessions are required to build up confidence and learn the techniques.
